A House on Fire

One day, I was coming back from my friend’s house in the evening. When I got near my house. I heard some people shouting, Fire! Fire! I got a little nearer when I saw a house was on the blaze. The residents were evacuated safely from the affected house. The people were throwing buckets full of water on the fire. But the flames were mounting high up in the sky. I also began to throw water on the fire. But the fire was growing by and by.

Then the fire brigade was called for help. The fire brigade came after a few minutes13. The firefighters got their water hoses out14 and began to spray the water on the flames. It took them about half an hour to extinguish the fire completely. Luckily, there was no casualty. The house was partially damaged by the fire. There was an approximate loss of Rs. 1,00,000. But, it was retrievable. The residents of the house thanked the fire brigade staff for their in time help. The cause of the fire was reported to be due to some short circuit. Then, I also left my house from there.
