Cricket World Cup 2023
Introduction
The 2023 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup will be the 13th edition of the Cricket World Cup, a quadrennial One Day International (ODI) cricket tournament contested by men's national teams and organized by the International Cricket Council (ICC). The tournament will be hosted by India, beginning on 5 October and concluding on 19 November 2023.
Participating teams
Ten national teams will participate in the 2023 Cricket World Cup:
- Afghanistan
- Australia
- Bangladesh
- England
- India
- Netherlands
- New Zealand
- Pakistan
- South Africa
- Sri Lanka
Tournament format
The tournament will be played in a round-robin format, with each team playing nine matches. The top four teams will advance to the semi-finals, which will be played on a single-elimination basis. The winners of the semi-finals will advance to the final, which will be played on 19 November 2023 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, India.
