July 2025 Update: Normal vs. Urgent Passport Fees in Pakistan

The Directorate General of Immigration and Passport has set new fees for passports in Pakistan, which will be effective from July 2025. These fees vary depending on the processing time (normal or urgent), the number of pages in the passport, and its validity period (5 or 10 years).

5-Year Validity Passport Fees:

 * 36-Page Passport:

   * Normal Processing: Rs. 5,500

   * Urgent Processing: Rs. 8,500

 * 72-Page Passport:

   * Normal Processing: Rs. 9,200

   * Urgent Processing: Rs. 14,500

 * 100-Page Passport:

   * Normal Processing: Rs. 10,000

   * Urgent Processing: Rs. 19,000

10-Year Validity Passport Fees:

 * 36-Page Passport:

   * Normal Processing: Rs. 7,700

   * Urgent Processing: Rs. 12,200

72-Page Passport:

 Normal Processing: Rs. 13,400

 Urgent Processing: Rs. 21,200

 100-Page Passport:

   Normal Processing: Rs. 14,500

   Urgent Processing: Rs. 28,000

These stated fees are inclusive of all applicable taxes and service charges.

The Pakistani government has also adjusted its target for Citizenship, Naturalization, and Passport Fee collection to Rs. 76,500 million for the upcoming fiscal year, an increase from the previous Rs. 75,000 million. This adjustment indicates a push for increased revenue generation by the Directorate General of Immigration and Passport, even without a formal increase in the passport fees themselves.

The overall federal budget outlay for 2025-26 is set at Rs. 17,573 billion, with a focus on fostering economic growth, boosting exports, and stabilizing foreign exchange reserves.
