DIALOGUE BETWEEN SON AND FATHER ON THE TOPIC OF PUNCTUALITY

Write a Dialogue Between Father and Son on the Value of Time

Son: Asslam-o-Alaikum! Papa.
Father: Wa’alaikum-us-Salaam! Son.
Son: I have been imposed a fine of Rs. 10 and I also got a severe reprimand for being late from the school today.
Father: I am fed up with your bad habit of delay. I have always advised you to uphold punctuality in each and every matter of life but you always turn a deaf ear to my advice. That’s why you have been given such a punishment on one side and humiliation on the other.
Son: It’s quite true. I was really embarrassed before my class-fellows and teacher.
Father: Son, you should realize that in this whole world. Just take the example of the sun and the moon. If any one of them goes against the time frame the whole map of the world would have been changed.
Son: How is this possible? Papa.
Father: It may seem ridiculous to you but as you see the sun and the moon have their particular time of rising or setting in. If any of them goes against the time. The seasons might also have been changed and the whole system of the world might have been gone into chaos.
Son: It’s incredible. It seems to be a fantasy but it is a phenomenon.
Father: Another thing about punctuality is that any person who does not follow the rules of punctuality, he had to suffer from failure and disappointment in his practical life.
Son: But Papa, it is not necessary to be punctual in order to be successful.
Father: Son, you might have heard about the King Napoleon who had to suffer a humiliating defeat on the hands of his enemies because of the delay from his subordinates. He was also caught and imprisoned and after some years, he died an unknown death.
Son: That’s unbelievable, Papa, I shall now try my level best in order to maintain punctuality in all the matters of life. I also thank you for making me realize of my fatal mistake that I have been making for the last many months. Now, I shall never commit such a blunder.

Father: That’s like a good son. Now, you go to your mother. She is anxiously waiting for you at the lunch table.
