The Gift of Sight

A 24-year-old boy sat by the train window, his face pressed against the glass. His father sat next to him, smiling.

The Gift of Sight

"Dad, look!" the boy shouted. "The trees are going behind!"

A young couple sitting across the aisle exchanged glances. They pitied the boy's childish behavior.

"Dad, look!" the boy exclaimed again. "The clouds are running with us!"

The couple couldn't resist any longer.

"Why don't you take your son to a good doctor?" the woman asked the old man.

The old man smiled. "I did," he said. "We're just coming from the hospital. My son was blind from birth, but he got his sight today."

The couple was stunned. They had misjudged the boy and his father so badly.

Every single person on the planet has a story. Don't judge people before you truly know them. The truth might surprise you.

Moral of the story: Be kind and compassionate to everyone, regardless of their appearance or behavior. You never know what they're going through.
