17- DIALOGUE BETWEEN TWO LADIES ABOUT DAILY HOUSEHOLD ROUTINE

Rubina: (In Sunday Bazaar) Asslam-o-Alaikum!
Samina: Wa’alaikum-us-Salaam!
Rubina: How nice to see you here? How are you? Samnia.
Samina: Good to see you too. I am every inch fit and fine. Thanks.
Rubina: Where had you been? I have not seen you for quite a long time.
Samina: Numerous times, I had tried to come to you, but my new job always came in the way and I did not find enough time to see you. But I am very pleased to see you here.
Rubina: What new job? Are you working somewhere outstation?
Samina: Oh! No dear, I am very much engaged in my own house. You can not even have a wild guess that what I am doing these days? Listen, I am making dolls for children and selling them at shops. I am all the time busy in my new job.
Rubina: Well done Samina. I also want to do something but my husband always stops me. I need more money for children.
Samina: I know for sure you sew clothes very well. Why not sew garments for women and children?
Rubina: What a wonderful idea! I shall ask my husband to get me an electric sewing machine and I will start making clothes.
Samina: I shall tell your husband how useful it is to work at home when you can not work outside. You get money to give better food to your children and perhaps also better education.
Rubina: And when you work in this way you increase production in society and help others.
Samina: But first you help yourself.
Rubina: Thank you very much for your good suggestion.
Samina: O that’s all right. What are there friends for?
Rubina: OK, I think you are getting late for house as you have to do other chores at home too. So, you may leave.
Samina: Yes, I hope we shall meet again.
Rubina: Of course, Allah Hafiz.

Samina: Allah Hafiz.
