Imran: (In the college) Asslam-o-Alaikum!
Iftikhar: Wa’alaikum-us-Salaam!
Imran: You had been very inattentive throughout the English
lecture? Hadn’t you?
Iftikhar: Actually, I had been suffering
from severe headache for the last two hours. That’s why I was a bit
unmindful of the lecture delivered by our professor.
Imran: Anyways, as you know that you had joined this college last
year, didn’t you?
Iftikhar: Yes, I did. You have also been here, haven’t you?
Imran: Yes I have. By the way, how is your English
Language Classes on the move?
Iftikhar: Oh, I find it rather difficult. Do you think why?
Imran: I think you find it difficult to write correctly
and well.
Iftikhar: Exactly (precisely). When I write I make many mistakes
and can’t get good grade on the exam.
Imran: That is because you aren’t doing what I have done, Listen
carefully. Learn some rules of writing correctly, and then write, write, write…
Iftikhar: Write, write, what after all?
Imran: O my boy, essays, stories, dialogues, and jokes-you know a
good deal of them, for example, about your Uncle George, about Mullah Dopiyazah
and about Mullah Nazir etc.
Iftikhar: (Mockingly and stressfully) and some about you
too.
Imran: No joking. I am quite solemn at this moment. And do not
forget those blunders in your written text which might be made by you and you
can put them right by the mutual help of your father and teachers.
Iftikhar: I shall certainly do all this. Of course, learning new
and coined words is also an uphill task. I have already started learning new
words and their use from storybooks and dictionaries.
Imran: That’s simply wonderful. I had forgotten to tell you
about hat.
Iftikhar: Let’s also decide to speak English at times when we
happen to meet again.
Imran: It would be my pleasure and respectable thing to be a
source of help to my friend.
Iftikhar: Let us go to the class as our recess is going to be over
in just a couple of minutes.
Imran: Let us run, our great and sweet English teacher must be
waiting in the class.
Iftikhar: Sure, we must go now as we should be in the class before
our teacher gets in.
Imran: You are right. Let’s move.
Iftikhar: Let’s go to the class together.
Imran: Okay, Let’s get ahead.
