19- DIALOGUE BETWEEN TWO FRIENDS ON THE CHOICE OF PROFESSION.

Abdullah: Asslam-o-Alaikum!
Zain-ul-Abedin: Wa’alaikum-us-Salaam! How are you?
Abdullah: I am perfectly fit and fine. Anyways, have you ever thought of your future profession?
Zain-ul-Abedin: Yes, I have. But I can not decide what I should be a software engineer or a hardware engineer or a doctor or a lawyer or a magistrate or a writer?
Abdullah: Better be a magistrate because a magistrate has a lot of authority and also a high place in society.
Zain-ul-Abedin: I don’t much accede to what you say. A successful lawyer has a better income and more freedom and perhaps fame and recognition among the public too.
Abdullah: The difficulty is in becoming a ‘successful’ lawyer.
Zain-ul-Abedin: I agree. I think I can acquire success with flying colours more easily because my father is a renowned lawyer. He can lend me a helping hand in this regard.
Abdullah: I personally don’t like to be “helped” by anyone. I hat this. Even though your father is a eminent lawyer you will sooner or later work on your own.
Zain-ul-Abedin: Then tell me what you have decided to do?
Abdullah: I would like to become a teacher first. I will study hard, and then I may try to get a doctorate (Ph.D) in my subject. All I need to do this is to work hard.
Zain-ul-Abedin: Everyone has his won idea of a profession.
Abdullah: It’s fine. All professions and means of livelihood are good in case they are adopted honestly. I can not understand people who say one profession is better than the other.
Zain-ul-Abedin: Yes, I thank you very much for your kind consultation and moral support in choosing a right profession at the right time. That’s very nice of you.
Abdullah: It’s all right. Friends do not oblige each other. Good luck for your new profession.
Zain-ul-Abedin: OK, May God exalt you with all His blessings from His unlimited treasures.
Abdullah: Allah Hafiz.

Zain-ul-Abedin: Allah Hafiz.
